(U) Ltd is a private limited company incorporated in 2005. Dolphin Pharmaceuticals
specializes in importation, distribution and marketing of pharmaceutical products. The company has operational shops in Kampala
and Gulu.
We
are now seeking for a technically qualified to manage our ever-increasing and
diversified operations in Kampala. The
primary purpose of this position is to assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy
Manager with serving customers and maintaining the Pharmacy department. The successful applicant should have a BSc. Degree
or its equivalence and will and be required to provide
overall leadership and support for the Pharmacy Operations team including Pharmacy National and corporate level. Ensure that pharmacy is continuously improving
quality and efficiency and compliant with all regulations. Job Responsibilities:
The applicant should
have a BSc. in Pharmacology degree or its equivalence and would
have the responsibilities to:
Provide overall leadership and support
for the Pharmacy Operations team including Pharmacy District Leaders at the
corporate level. Ensure that pharmacy is continuously improving quality and
efficiency and compliant with all regulations.

- Oversee development and continuous refinement of Labor Tool(s) to align to safety and business initiatives and put together annual labor budget by store.
- Manage and support the Manager of Pharmacy Quality as well as overall Quality Program and responsible for hitting annual Quality Targets (incident rate and Ingestion rate).
- Manage and support the Manager of Pharmacy Compliance to ensure all of Pharmacy is Compliant with all regulations (retail pharmacies, warehouse, central fill, central processing, Specialty).
- Oversee development of Pharmacy Training programs for Technicians, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Team Leaders as well as general training materials for all aspects of pharmacy (retail pharmacies, warehouse, central fill, central processing, Specialty).
- Develop customer service initiatives working closely with Retail Operations Customer Service team.
- Act as Pharmacy HIPAA Privacy Officer and DEA Registrant ensuring Pharmacy is compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and support the Sr. Manager of Labor Standards to establish best practices for labor management and safety.
- Work with Store planning to ensure pharmacy layout meets work flow requirements for maximum efficiency.
- Work with Pharmacy Information Systems team to request enhancements to pharmacy system as needed to improve workflow and quality.
- Provide weekly updates on quality and safety to Executive team.
- Develop strategy for use of Help Chain Team.
- Oversee and guide the Pharmacy Operations team in the development and maintaining the Pharmacy Standards, Team Member Methods and Policies and Procedures.
- Work with Clinical Team to develop best practices and inefficiencies around MTM and Immunization Administration at store level.
- Responsible for budget development, expense control and/or revenue generation for a department.
- Responsible for direct and indirect supervision of team members in one or more departments.
